I have noticed that sports commentators use a construction that is
reminiscent of zgabri.  For example:

    "He points to the spot!  The referee."
    "He hit that from his feet, Sampras."

where the pronoun acts as a place holder to be 'filled in' later and the
emphasis is placed on action.  Was this usage influential in the design of
zgabri?
