I think that lojban > has all the angles covered for aspect and then some. That doesn't say that you are going in the present. You could say {mi puco'a je ca ca'o klama} = "in the past I initiated going and I am going now", but that could just as well mean "I am still going". There is nothing in {mi puco'a klama} that says that it is happenned before its time. If you say that "already" is not necessary, then {za'o} is equally unnecessary. They are the two sides of the same coin. Jorge
