Short answer: I would propose to send it to anyone that would even remotely consider it (Note: I am not acting independently here, and it is not entirely my decision. These are my thoughts only, not a declaration of what is going to happen). Longer answer: I have a list I have prepared at the Foundation Center, that consists of what looks (superficially) like the best bets in two areas: 1) Business foundations from large book publishers. A donation of this type can often be "in kind", and businesses love that. It lets them get credit for the full retail price of the goods and services while doing things at their cost. 2) Foundations with an interest in international affairs and communications. I can't give names right this second, because my folder is at home. Frankly, I am not sure that it would add much to the discussion, but I amo more than open to doing so. Oh, yeah, I would love to submit to the Playboy Foundation just because it tickles my sense of the absurd. (Believe it or not, they are not the longest shot by any means. They concentrate on first amendment issues, but some goes for international communications). Dave Barton <*> dlb@wash.inmet.com )0( http://www.inmet.com/~dlb
