In the interest of a high quality first edition, this proposal would be for a hardbound book, which these days adds only around US$2-3 to the price. We need to make a profit on the reference grammar in order to finance publication of the dictionary, which will probably be more expensive to produce. So we are asking, without actually offering said book yet: If the Lojban reference book, in hardbound at 600 pages were being offered at $30, would you buy it, and how many copies would you buy? If it were offered at $40, would you buy it and how many copies would you buy? If you are not in the US and would seek a reduced price based on your local economy being inconsistent with the high prices of US books, what amount could/would you pay in order to recieve a copuy of the book. To clarify, some form of the book will be available on the net in HTML format so that you will not be forced to buy the hardbound in order to get a copy. Responses to this survey will be used by the group supervising publication to set the final parameters of publication. Thank you for your response. lojbab ---- lojbab lojbab@access.digex.net Bob LeChevalier, President, The Logical Language Group, Inc. 2904 Beau Lane, Fairfax VA 22031-1303 USA 703-385-0273 For the artificial language Loglan/Lojban, see powered.cs.yale.edu /pub/lojban or see Lojban WWW Server: href="http://xiron.pc.helsinki.fi/lojban/"
