The proposal idnetified several areas where free modifiers and the like could be added with no impact to the language. This proposal has been submitted several months before and John had made no public or private response. The answer is that the changes were approved several months ago, but had not been announced since John had not had time to develop a YACC grammar for the changes, and do his customary writeup. This change will be Change 47 and will be the final change to the YACC grammar before the baseline. The approved changes add possibilities to the grammar that have never knowingly been used, and there is no significant impact to the book or to any usage or teaching that we have done, but which seem to more systematically represent the possible places where freemods can occur without problems. Cowan is out of town until the New Year and has limited posting capability. He will probably have all text updates done by the end of the year, but may not be able to get things uploaded and posted till he gets back. We will not formally announce the baseline until the material is actually availableon our digex ftp site, so ther emay be a day or two of delay, though not due to continuing change. Hopefully we will get the logistics worked out by the new year, and we will keep people informed as best we can. Happy Holidays to all of you. lojbab ---- lojbab lojbab@access.digex.net Bob LeChevalier, President, The Logical Language Group, Inc. 2904 Beau Lane, Fairfax VA 22031-1303 USA 703-385-0273 Artificial language Loglan/Lojban: ftp.access.digex.net /pub/access/lojbab or see Lojban WWW Server: href="http://xiron.pc.helsinki.fi/lojban/"
