Barring anything unexpected, this should be the grammar that is baselined in a couple of days. John and Nora and I have had a last minute conference at which we reviewed status and confirmed the resolution of known open issues. I don't have the exact list, but I think we have dealt with, among other things, interval specification in tenses, what will and won't be prescribed regarding default and non default quantifiers as they interact with prenexes. Ordinal tenses are in, (I think). When in doubt we are including rather than excluding possibilities. John has a couple of chapters to finalize in the refgrammar, and Nora has two illustrations to polish, and we are still hoping to have a cover illustration on the book. But the work is essentially done, and Cowan thinks he will be done on New Years day, though he may not be able to upload till he gets back to New York City. As such, expect the baseline to be declared approximately on time, and almost certainly by the end of the week. lojbab
