I therefore want to repeat a comment I made about this a month or so ago. *** Make sure to specify that you want the book copy back if it is not retained by the library for use*** Libraries without the above specification are free to add the book to their stock of materials to sell for benefit of the library. They do _not_ put all donations on the shelf. karis.
