The official publication date is 1 December, and I am hoping to send out many/most of the books that were ordered around that time. Cash/check orders will go first, since I have already processed the payment. The operations here are sufficiently ad hoc that I want to make sure that I do creditcards correctly from the start so the bookkeeping doesn't get screwed up (and no one gets charged twice or not at all), and in any case, I have not yet been notified by the provider that I can submit credit cards for processing (this takes a couple weeks). The post offocie says that 4th class mail takes up to 8 days in the US, and that is how the books will be shipped. Overseas will depend on how you are having us ship the book. Air mail will be fast. Surface mail means don't hold your breath. The book turned out to be a little lighter than I expected - 2 lb 9 oz or 1.3 kg. This may mean that the overseas shipping charge may be able to drop, though I am not going to do so for the intitial orders (except for some of you that are getting books by special bulk order to one country - these are in Sweden and Italy). Prices to Australia remain slightly higher than what we are charging for shipping and handling (for air mail - surface mail seems OK). On the copies I have seen, the bottom of the pages is trimmed a little shorter than in the proof, which may account for the reduced weight. No where near cutting of the bottom text, but some pages like the Table of Contents seem unbalanced on the page as a result. At any rate. most US orders should be received by mid-December, and once I get into big-time shipping, I maybe a little less responsive on the list for a couple of weeks. Of course, if you haven't ordered yet - time grows short to get the reduced price. lojbab ---- lojbab lojbab@access.digex.net Bob LeChevalier, President, The Logical Language Group, Inc. 2904 Beau Lane, Fairfax VA 22031-1303 USA 703-385-0273 Artificial language Loglan/Lojban: ftp.access.digex.net /pub/access/lojbab or see Lojban WWW Server: href="http://xiron.pc.helsinki.fi/lojban/" Order _The Complete Lojban Language_ - see our Web pages or ask me.
