But "pas"  is unlike  Lojban  terminators,  in  the sense that   "pas"
carries a   meaning in  itself, while   Lojban terminators are  purely
syntactical markers which carry no intrinsic meaning.


Comparing:

        Je *ne* le crois *pas*.
with:
        Je *ne* le crois *jamais*.

I wouldn't say *pas* and  *jamais* are (purely syntactic) terminators.
I'd rather consider    "ne  ... pas"   and  "ne  ...  jamais" to    be
circumpositions.
