I'm assuming it's the latter. (The former would be obtained with ki'u, ra'i for example.) This becomes clear if we consider this selbri: toldjuno: x1 ignores that x2 is true of x3=20 by epistemology x4; Obviously the x4 is not the reason why x1=20 ignores fact x2. It is the epistemology in which x2 is true.
