I can't guess for you, but the only way that works for me to learn any language is to read texts that are of interest for me. I've tackled English because of all the scientific litterature that is not available in French. Maybe you could start by writing in Lojban about the topics you most like. No matter the errors you make. You will correct them as you progress in the mastering of the language. What I'd like to make is a (unilingual) Lojban lexicon of sciences. How about cooperating?
