The drafton the WWW and ftp sites is the best there is,and likely tobe all for at least another year, since the dictionaryis hiogher priority. Wedon'thave themoney to produce all the books we need to. Meanwhile, the reference grammar serves most people as an effective followupto any initial study using the draft textbookmaterials. Since Iwrote the drafts, Ihave actually studied another language (Russian) using Russian language materialsthat are farsuperior to what Ihave seen in American language teaching books (no idea whether the British have better language teaching methods, but the Russians definitely do). I intend when I actually write the textbook toincorporate many ofthe things I havelearned. It is possible that someone else will beatmeto it and write some kind of textbook, if not necessarily the kind I have in mind -perhaps byexpanding on whathasbeen written. But even this will likely take more than a year. Current plans are to produce an intro book to replace the current package 0 and a mini-dictionaryto replacethe current package 1 beforetackling the textbook which now is package 3. >How about the LogFlash 2 program for teaching rafsi? So far as I know, Iwas the only one who ever used the old LogFlash 2, which was designed to run with an older file format andhence is not compatible with the lists that havebeen in use forthe last 7 or8 years. I suggested some changes, but Nora neverhad time to implement them, and they are not high on her list since you are the first toask about the program inmaybe 5 years. >Additionally, are any of the printed teaching materials (flash cards, >draft lessons, etc.) still available? In the UK? If not, from where? All of theprinted materials on our price list remain available tosome extent from mehere at LLG Central Office, with one proviso. Most of package 2 and some of package 1 has been superseded by the referencegrammar, and we just threw out the obsolete printed copies. If you want that material, you will need to buythe reference grammar (the material in question was approximately 5-6 very early draft chapters of what becamethe 20 chapter book). I intedn to produce anewprice list shortly thatclarifies this. Prices for all printed materials are US 10c/page. You get a 20% discount for over $20 order, but overseasincluding the UK pays a 20% surcharge for the extra postage costs.
