I prefer having two distinct languages. I admit, though, that I see very little in Loglan that Lojban doesn't have, and usually done better. In JCB's novel "The Troika incident" the future population uses a version of the language Panlan (Loglan) about 10 versions removed from the original language. I like to think of Lojban as the second or maybe third version in the series.
