Sometimes English "or" is used in the sense of a.k.a., but I don't think Lojban ".a" works here. We don't want to say that the page is either about Lojban or about the Logical Language or about both. If you are going to use a logical connective ".e" would be better, at least you don't leave open the confusing possibility that it is about one and not about the other. But what we want to say is that both names/descriptions have the same referent, and this is not what logical connectors do. On the other hand, I agree that "no'u" is probably better than "po'u". With "po'u" we would be singling out Lojban the logical language from other Lojbans, maybe Lojban the cat, and that is not really the intent in this case. On the third hand, someone once said that describing Lojban as *the* logical language was as objectionable as Esperantists calling Esperanto "la internacia", the international (language). Personally I don't have a problem with either description. co'o mi'e xorxes ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------- ONElist Sponsor ---------------------------- FREE ADVICE FROM REAL PEOPLE!
