OK, what happened is that the CPU fan failed. The CPU survived; I have no idea why, but it's possible that sersord shut the machine down (although it doesn't claim that it does that). Went in last night, figured this out, needed to get my fan from home, but at that point I got kicked out of the building due to everyone coming home. Sent a mail last night ~20:00 that I would be there at 09:00. No-one responded. Showed up anyways. Got let into the server room at 11:30 by someone not even with my co-lo (the owner of the building).
