If the dot is considered to be a member of the lojban alphabet, then {deple'u} is more precise. A someting-le'u is a something-bu'i that forms part of an alphabet and represents something. The intermediate step would be a something-sni, which represents but need not form part of an alphabet. So: lo depybu'i: The symbol ".". lo depsni: The symbol "." representing a pause. lo deple'u: The symbol "." representing a pause as a member of the Lojban alphabet. (Then there is the question of whether it really represents a pause or actually a glottal stop.) mu'o mi'e xorxes __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
