hmmm, in over 25 years of knowing russian, i never had that feeling, and= still don't.  russian "po" has lots of meanings, but they are still pr= ecise meanings, not interchangeable with other prepositions.  one of th= e advantages of selmaho BAI is that the words in BAI usually have a direct c= onnection to a brivla with the intended meaning, and so they are easier to l= earn and remember.
