It would be easy to draw up a change like this such that it did *not* invalidate past usage, and in that case I have no idea if I would vote for it or not. Regardless, this has *not* been proposed to the byfy, and such a proposal would be marginally out of order because it doesn't involve the current checkpoint (although people can do whatever they want in their own shepherd areas until they get checkpointed).
