Sure, with a=20 better-than-LR(1) parser we could make grammar changes that would=20 "simplify" or "improve" the language. The time to do that was 10 years=20 ago. We are out of the language design phase, and merely trying to=20 document the *completed* language, fixing things that are undocumented or=20 broken.
