My name's Roly, I'm new here and I'm from near Oxford in England. I've tried learning lojban with the lessons available, but i found it rather hard to understand them, especially not knowing the first thing about computer codes. Do you know of any lessons or anything that explain lojban using english grammatical terms (or at least saying 'they don't have this that or the other bit of grammar in lojban, but they use this method instead'). I also find it difficult to remember what all the totally unfamiliar new words are such as 'cmene' and the like, which are used throughout the lesson to refer back to what you've learnt - i keep having to look back to check what something means. Of course lojabn is going to be a bit tricky compared to a euroclone language becuase it's so alien, but i think it can probably be explained more like most langauges are. If there are no such lessons, perhaps someone would be willing to act as my personal online tutor?! :-) Thanks lots. All the best. Roly. ------------------------ Yahoo!
