Going through the Lojban tiki, I found, > among other interesting threads, this discussion about how to translate "a > lot of water". What about : "ni djacu cu barda" ? You need a gadri in front of {ni djacu}, for example {lo ni djacu cu barda}. That would say that the amount of (something) being water is big. More directly you can say {le djacu cu barda}, "the quantity of water is big". If you want to say something about a certain big amount of water, then {le djacu barda} or {le barda djacu}, or {le barda je djacu}: "the thing I have in mind, which I describe as big and water." For example: mi pu zi mo'u vimcu le barda djacu poi carvi ti "I just finished removing the lot of water which fell here." If you don't have a specific lot of water in mind, then {lo} is better: ca ro nu carvi kei lo barda djacu cu nerbi'o le zdani "Every time it rains, a lot of water gets inside the house." mu'o mi'e xorxes __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
