This is one area where Lojban is extremely weak.  Lojban uses sepa= rate, unrelated forms (none derived from any other) for this kind of word. =  Fixing it (and I do think it merits fixing) would require a bunch of = new lujvo, at the very least.  It would make learning the vocab a lot = easier though.
