Apart for the intrinsic linguistic, philosophical and psycholinguistic use, I believe that lojban might be an interesting option for the representation of a knowledge base. So in AI research (that do not only involve "creating an artificial sentient mind" but also more practical uses such as logical inference, cataloguing of informations - articles, books -, cross-discipline applications including applications that can suggest related arguments while you're writing - be it tech writing, an article on something or even storytelling).
