Let's just consider how the logo could vary, or maybe be updated, without violating the spirit of the original idea. It's not like we really have to replace it; but I've started to regret that I wasn't present to participate in its development. I asked myself today, "what does Lojban look like and what does it represent?" This is what I would have submitted: http://www.nemorathwald.com/lojban_masthead.jpg And the flag version, without the words, would have looked like this: http://www.nemorathwald.com/lojban_flag.jpg But of course that's all water under the bridge now. I'm enjoying playing around with variations on the official logo's idea that could be expressed in any one solid color. Check it out: http://www.nemorathwald.com/lojban_logo.jpg I basically tried to express it in areas of color instead of lines. Notice in the left and right examples how the arrow lines of the Cartesian coordinate system are now implicit instead of explicit. - epkat P.S. Feel free to use any of this art in any way that you please, if you want. It could be a book cover or something. _______________________________________________________ Sent through e-mol.
