For example, it is x3 of {dable'a}. "You can plunder ... (from the land yonder)". John wrote: >> dable'a (3) > 3) Not at all clear: "win" (as spoils of war), "take over by force"? I haven't made up that lujvo -- it's from the Lesson 5 of Lojban Tutorial: http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Lojban%20Tutorial:%20Lesson%205 which includes the usage: {la mexmet. dable'a la konstantinopolis. de'i ma} John wrote: >> fi'o temci (4) > 4) Time interval of the fight-gaining, i.e., "for months"? Or "after"? Jorge wrote: > I suppose because there are so many riches. I would have > used {ze'a} or {ze'u} instead of {fi'o temci}. First, {lo masti} should have been {pa masti} to be the translation of "a month". John is right here. I intended "after" meaning. That is, "a month" is the interval of conquering coming to the completion. From the English original, I think the intended meaning is "because the land is like a long-ago world" (implying it's easy to conquer), not "because there are so many riches". Perhaps I was too vague in translating. Can ZEhA specify the interval like "a month"? Not that "a month" is so important that it can't be replaced by "medium interval" (or "short interval") here, but I'd like to know. mu'onai mi'e sanxiyn.
