If the reference point serves both as positional reference and as orientation reference (as is often the case) it can be repeated in x2 and x3, no problem: le bersa cu zutse bu'u lo pritu be le patfu (bei ri) The son sits at the right of the father (from the father's viewpoint). Other schemes, that try to make x2 both the positional and the orientation reference, and x3 something else that plays with x2 to get it to be an orientation reference, are so full of complications that I don't think it's worth even bothering with them. I hope people will keep saying things like: le blanu bolci cu pritu le xunre bolci mi "The blue ball is to the right of the red ball from my point to view." and just ignore the x2 facing x3 complications. mu'o mi'e xorxes To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to lojban-list-request@lojban.org with the subject unsubscribe, or go to http://www.lojban.org/lsg2/, or if you're really stuck, send mail to secretary@lojban.org for help.
