{ro prenu zo'u ...} is perfectly grammatical, and I don't see any reasons why adhere to strict logics in everyday speech.

{ro broda zo'u brode} is a natural reduction of longer {ro da poi broda zo'u da brode}.

"You have to leave out the {zo'u} here..."
{ro prenu cu gonai terspe panzi gi nalterspe panzi} is what Gabriel meant.
 
By the way, aren't {speni panzi} and {xabyspe panzi} just as good as the
