I said "such a name" because JCB would not accept 'hoi' (Lojban 'doi'?) befpre all cmene used as vocatives. You will note that the rules I mentioned could be applied to all cmene without ambiguity and would permit omission of the pause before cmene iin all instances. I mention this only as information as to what another group with the same problem has done. If I recall correctly, it did not require any change to the existing grammar. (making bare cmene ungrammatical would have involved a change, however) Bob McIvor > > -Robin > > -- > http://www.digitalkingdom.org/~rlpowell/ *** http://www.lojban.org/ > Reason #237 To Learn Lojban: "Homonyms: Their Grate!" > Proud Supporter of the Singularity Institute - http://singinst.org/ > > > To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to lojban-list- > request@lojban.org > with the subject unsubscribe, or go to http://www.lojban.org/lsg2/, > or if > you're really stuck, send mail to secretary@lojban.org for help. > To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to lojban-list-request@lojban.org with the subject unsubscribe, or go to http://www.lojban.org/lsg2/, or if you're really stuck, send mail to secretary@lojban.org for help.
