X-Yahoo-Group-Post: member; u=116389790; y=A16kKxZASwoLZ76EYmO-RsHYVfPxC_mBTsDGo3KHF5qZ7H9lAg X-Yahoo-Profile: lojban_out X-Yahoo-Message-Num: 28212 My wife is taking some work-related courses in .NET stuff and in particular VB applications (and SQL server, though we aren't sure how to make it relevant yet). She likes to master such stuff by tackling small projects on her own (from such efforts early in her programming career came the original LogFlash, Random Sentence Generator and Glosser programs, then developed for Loglan). Being that the concept of .NET suggests that it would best to do such things so as to be reusable by others, the first step in choosing a project is to see if anyone else has developed any .NET classes or other projects for Lojban-related stuff, and try to build something that makes use of that work, or that could be used for something someone else is working on. So has anyone done (or is anyone doing) anything of note, and/or have some code they can send us? Nora works in VB but could probably figure out code in C# or some other .NET language. Lacking other ideas, Nora will likely end up designing classes related to lujvo, eventually trying to recreate some form of the DOS-based lujvo-making program, perhaps the lujvo version of LogFlash, and maybe even an routine which will generate jbovlaste entries, if someone makes a lujvo that they wish to enshrine (we need to know the data structure for jbovlaste to be able to do that - Robin, can you supply it?) lojbab To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to lojban-list-request@lojban.org with the subject unsubscribe, or go to http://www.lojban.org/lsg2/, or if you're really stuck, send mail to secretary@lojban.org for help.
