I added them to the wikipages http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=gi%27uste+bau+la+daitc&bl where pycyn/pne (ki'e sai) started the translation project some time ago. I am not a professional translator, but I put a lot of time in this translation, so I hope it is acceptable/good quality (nothing I can judge). There are still some things to be done and your help is needed, especially if you can speak German. We have four remaining steps: Step 1: Translate the missing pieces (ca. 55 words). There were some gismu which I could not translate and I marked them with a asterisk sign (*). So if you can translate them, please do so. Step 2: Review all translations. There should be a review/proofreading of all translations for correctness, ideally combined with a review of consistency. I marked all translations I was unsure about with a question mark. Actually the format from b-g differs a little bit from that of j-z. Step 3: After review/correction, there should be some action to make it an official translation of the gismu list, e.g. put it on the website, (maybe approve it by the LGG), etc. Step 4: Put the data on jbovlaste. Hopefully there is an automated way to put it there. As of review and proofreading, your help is greatly appreciated. I think gismu list translation is very important for Lojban as it helps beginners a lot. I assume there are a lot of people who gave up learning Lojban because it is very hard to learn definitions that are not in your native language. Introduction: This is also a good moment to introduce myself. :-) I am Alexander Koch, 20 years old and live in Heidelberg, Germany. After my graduation from high school I did my civil service at a boarding school for disabled people. In October I will begin my studies in maths and computer science at the University of Karlsruhe. (If there are lojban learners/speakers in Heidelberg or Karlsruhe, show up :-). My nickname is alech or .alex., as I am doing a lot of LaTeX stuff. My hobbies are singing, juggling, judo, languages (learned a bit of Japanese during my civil service) and of course computers (linux). At the moment I am about to learn Go and Haskell (just at the very beginning). I heard about lojban at the 22C3, a hackers (good guys!) conference in Berlin. A year later I gave a presentation/workshop about lojban at the 23C3, you can find it (PDF/ODF) at: http://events.ccc.de/congress/2006/Fahrplan/events/1753.en.html. 8-) I learned a lot of (so'a/so'e) gismu by gloss words and started reading la nicte cadzu. I am fascinated by the intelligent design of lojban and its expressive power. I hope to be able to speak it fluently in the future.
