It was made to see what the community thinks of the direction I was heading in. Since the community has overwhelmingly said they are interested, the BPFK and I will produce a real proposal. It will include a real, serious, set of goals. Those may not be the same as what's in my essay. In particular, Jorge thinks (loosely) that past usage and awesomeness should be equal priority, and Jorge almost always manages to convince me he's right in the end (because he's really smart :). I have absolutely no intention of producing a structure that will allow any random kook to radically modify the language. (I am seriously pissed that anyone would believe that I and the rest of the community would allow such a thing, but cooler heads have prevailed to make this email not the extremely angry rant it started out as.) We (the current BPFK) will get back to y'all with something real, hopefully shortly. -Robin -- They say: "The first AIs will be built by the military as weapons." And I'm thinking: "Does it even occur to you to try for something other than the default outcome?"
