"Cool" is a cool word, huh? We can be sure there's no gismu even vaguely similar to "cool" because it would have been considered the worst malglico in the world. 8) If you want exactly the connotations of "cool" what you want of course is a fu'ivla. You can even get all the various senses of "cool": za'e {xamgrkulu} or za'e {zabnrkulu} could mean like "wow, look at that, that's cool" while za'e {jikcrkulu} could mean more like "no worries, we're cool man" and maybe za'e {cninrkulu} could mean being the latest hippest thing, etc. Then you can say: {.i ko na xanka .i mi'o jikcrkulu .i do zabnrkulu pe'i .i xu do djica lo nu do mi kansa lo cninrkulu} =3D "No worries, man. We're cool. I think you're cool. Want to go do what's cool?" We should also be thinking about some lujvo on -xau (xamgu) and -za'a (zabna) and -nei (nelci) and such for the subtleties of grooving upon things, but I don't think we should try to reproduce any natlang meanings there. Instead, we should explore new distinctly Lojbanic flavors of goodness. 8) mi'e la stela selckiku mu'o --=20 You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "= lojban" group.
