We might have problem with androids though :) What about: cikmi'i "x_1 is a turned on machine/apparatus for use/function x_2" and sipmi'i "x_1 is a turned off machine/apparatus for use/function x_2" So, {cikmi'igau} would be "turn on" and {sipmi'igau} would be "turn off". What do you think?
