At least partly true. They do seem to get misused closer= to the logical language side, however. Mainly, I suspect because the= y are so much shorter (and of course ignorance has a role).

I don't see any bridiness in "pei". It= has nothing to do with any
propositions. It just indicates a request fr= om speaker to listener to
express themself in a certain scale. No bridis need be involved on the
p= art of either participant.
