Correct. But the sound mappings are different, I used the mappings we use here in Egypt... If 100% like Farsi it would be: - (=8E) for my (=8D) and (=90) for my (=CC) among other differences, which wouldn't make since in Lojban since we don't need (tc) or (dj) sounds, wasting letters and making it more difficult for a lot of people with ordinary Arabic keyboard layouts. Persians on the other hand already have all the characters I'm using... --------------------- Saeid Al-Wazzan > I have one comment about the choice of character for {j} and {g}. > {g} is mapped to {=CC} and {j} is mapped to {=8D}. In Arabic, however, th= e {j} > sound is produced by {=CC}, I think it might be more natural to swap the > mappings for these two characters. In Egypt all (g) sounds are written (=CC) and (j) doesn't naturally occur in Arabic but is rather a stylistic pronunciation used in specific positions; and when it does happen, we usually don't denote it. It also made it easier to write on keyboard as I'm making a layout right now and (Shift+[ {=CC}) will map to (=8D) so you see what I'm doing here ;) --=20 You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "= lojban" group.
