After 2 fantastic years of sun, sea and houseboat life Aicha & Joost missed the Netherlands so much they decided to return home. Their smiling faces will be missed at the KH charter base. We thank them for their good work and wish them love, peace and prosperity with their young family, on their new adventure in the Netherlands.



Self-drive car rentals' maximum buoyancy don't come close to our houseboats. Our guest Alison got an unexpected surprise for her birthday: whilst busy checking-in, her rental car decided to take a swim in the lagoon to cool down. Nevertheless Alison and her husband had an amazing holiday aboard our houseboat, and a birthday not forgotten soon.

We surprised Stephan, the son of one of our loyal guests with this Knysna Houseboats cake. In his young life, he already underwent several operations and his parents surprised him on his birthday with a houseboat adventure just hours after his latest op… The look on his face is priceless!!


Paula Harron was the lucky winner of our Facebook competition. Our judges unanimously chose the name "AT YOUR SERVICE" as the new name for our Rubber Duck. An amazing 400 entries were sent in. She has won a 1 night stay on one of our houseboats and we cannot wait to welcome her aboard. Thank you to all the Facebook friends for entering the competition.
