The homeowners wanted a smaller deck to enlarge the yard size. That brings me to my question about when is it to late to sod. I didn't think laying sod would be a problem in September but we official received the first snow of the season today and are expected to get more over the next few days with temperatures around 0c. Would it be ok to still lay sod or should I wait? We just got ours in. Corn, tomatoes, tomatillos, and a variety of peppers. Both sweet and hot, even have some ghost peppers. This year we just pushed the black berries back, did a quick till and stuck them in. Next year we will be more prepared and the upper pasture should be clear which is where it is sunny most of the day. We did starts this year, but next year we will do seeds. I started redoing my flowerbeds a few months ago and got some of these light landscape stones to stack as the border around the flowerbed. They were advertised as being able to be cut with woodworking tools and weighed a third or half as much as regular stones. I got them at Home Depot. They didn't have enough so I figured I would come back for the rest. Well, I've gone back repeatedly and to different stores and have gotten a few here and there but they were always sold out. Now it looks like they don't stock those anymore.
