Hello! I am new to this forum and joined as I have a very limited network of other parents (son has just started school and we are making friends but this does not seem appropriate to ask a new friend). A little back story: I worked for a company briefly "under the table", (supposed to be a very easy relaxed position but owner dumped running the business on me...stressing me out to the max for next to nothing compensation wise.) owner has a large family of many children who would babysit my son a couple days a week for 11 hours one day, 5 hours another while i worked.

Texas apartment where U.S. Ebola patient stayed to be cleaned

U.S. health officials on Friday said Dallas authorities planned to properly dispose of items in the apartment where the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the country had stayed and where four people close to him are quarantined.

"This is something we expect to get resolved today," said Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, when asked about a delay in cordoning off and cleaning the site.

In an interview with "Today" show, Frieden said bleach was being used to clean the residence and that Dallas authorities were working closely with the CDC.

Sheets and other items used by the man have been sealed in plastic bags, but questions have been raised about the delay since the patient's diagnosis was confirmed Sunday.

U.S. health officials have expressed confidence that they could prevent the spread of Ebola in the United States after the first case was diagnosed there this week. The virus has killed more than 3,300 people in the current outbreak in West Africa.

On Thursday, NBC News said one of its freelance cameramen had contracted Ebola, the fifth American to be diagnosed. The network identified the staffer as Ashoka Mukpo, 33.
