Millions of loveable, healthy & adoptable pets enter shelters every year. Due to overpopulation, approximately 4 million homeless pets are euthanized every yearthat’s about 11,000 pets every day.

That’s why PetSmart has chosen not to sell dogs or cats. Instead, we’ve joined forces with PetSmart Charities to help save pets through adoptions.

With more than 50,000 associates, we not only celebrate the power of pets to enrich people’s liveswe live it. By partnering with over 130 local groups, we are empowering associates to make a difference in the communities where they live and work. Our community giving program, PetSmart Gives Back, also partners with national organizations that provide service dogs to Veterans, keep families and their pets together, offer hope to patients in hospitals and support urban redevelopment with dog parks.
