= =0A Are you looking for a great way to show gratitude for your elementary= school teachers? Consider an educational activity book set publish= ed by ACS. These two fully illustrated books are packed with science activi= ties – everything from making a homemade kazoo to discovering food ch= emistry. Each book has an answer key to help teachers explain the science b= ehind each activity. What better way to express your appreciation of scienc= e than by equipping teachers with the tools they need to capture the imagin= ation of our future scientists. Buy your teacher gift now.

Eli Pearce, a great leader in ch= emistry
=0A=0A
=0A
=0A Eli M. Pearce, ACS Past Pr= esident and former dean at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn (now NYU P= olytechnic School of Engineering), was a great leader in chemistry, a human= itarian, and an influential educator. Pearce died one year ago, but his leg= end will live on through an endowment in the ACS Scholars Program= . Family, friends, students and colleagues of Eli's are more than halfway t= o their goal of raising $100,000 for this endowment, which will provide a s= cholarship to a student from underrepresented background in chemistry. Plea= se join the effort to preserve Eli's memory by visiting www.acs.org/don= ate and noting Eli Pearce in your gift.
