Came here a few years ago for dinner and remembered it, so while in town recently for a long weekend, I brought someone here to give it a try. It's not what... Have had nothing but great experiences since writing my original review, and have intro'd quite a few people to the place, all of whom also really liked it.... Being seated in this restaurant, I was skeptical that it was as delicious as my friends said. (It rather looks like a Red Lobster that needs remodeling).... Delicious tacos! They make them Mexican style (cilantro and onion) or American style. So good! Fish, steak, pork. All yummy! ....Chicken mole- also... Last minute attendance at this lovely place \u0026 so worth the last minute decision ! Looking for wine/beer \u0026 small plates to share ? This is your place!... My wife brought me here from Kalamazoo, MI to surprise me for my birthday and try something new.....The atmosphere when we walked in was wonderful! Awesome... This was the first time I've eaten at Black Walnut under the new ownership and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. Not only was the food delicious, but... Great food, great beer, great atmosphere, great staff, great prices. What a find for us out-of-towners. A rustic setting and extremely welcoming staff... Excellent comfort food in a relaxed river-side atmosphere. Family friendly if you need it, but don't expect a super fast meal (it's Southern cuisine).... This area sorely needs a good BBQ restaurant, and this weekend we found one! We drove 20 minutes over to Cross Hill from Greenwood and found a gem! Since... Mill House Pizza and Good Times Brewing is great! We were in town for the BBQ and Blues festival. I spotted Mill House while we were at the splash park... The diamond in the rough! Just enjoyed some of the best Italian food south of the Mason Dixon. Jason the waiter was exceptional, the lasagna, salad along... Came in from Texas for my niece's graduation party. We came late, and the owner knows my family, so he let us stay for over two hours, perhaps longer than... I have to say this Chef really knows what he is doing. I had the Penne and Steak. The bourbon peppercorn sauce was excellent. It was very well balanced and... New owners recently and I have seen a gradual increase in the quality of the food. We typically eat breakfast here on the weekends as it is a nice morning... I've always had great experiences at Figaro. Their brunch is the best in Downtown Newberry. My favorite brunch items are steak and eggs with a bloody mary.... A friend recommended this place, so we were pretty excited about finding something new.
