The Mac n cheese, candied yams and greens were excellent. The family size is 32 oz more than enough for a family of 4. ....Ended my meal with peach cobbler.... Ate three meals in two days here while visiting my wife's hometown. B-i-L Bob had heard of the place and was excited to try it out as the pickin's are... I've been to Boot Jack a few times, and must say that the food and service are second to none. The atmosphere is just incredible, very relaxing and... Food is good, a bit different menu items than your usual bar stuff. Wait staff are friendly and efficient.....Only issue is weekend entertainment is tooooo... Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is a hidden gem. ..Four of us went for dinner on a random Saturday at 5:30. Mind you it's not boat weather yet.... The grilled banana bread dessert is to die for!!! Love love love it is recommended by regulars to always try the specials ;) Good drink specials and nice... Fantastic breakfast! Everything we ordered came out hot and yummy. Waitstaff was helpful and continuously asking if I needed coffee refills. Friendly,... Came in for walleye and tri tip. Solid. Broccoli was mushy overcooked. Nice time servers good. We again visited JR's for Friday night Long Islands and Prime Rib. I always enjoy their side salads, and was not disappointed. My prime rib was good as... I gave them 4 stars because the BBQ sauce was really good on the pulled chicken sandwich. I also have the mac-n-cheese which was ok. It's a good place for...
