My husband and I were in Newport this past weekend for our anniversary and he choose The Mooring for our celebratory dinner.....I couldn't have been happier,... Wow! Just wow! Loved everything! The restaurant is a true classic that understands food is a art. Had the most amazing special dinner with my family. I... 22 Bowens simply put is spectacular!!..Love this place! We were visiting from LA and were looking for a great place to celebrate my Dad's birthday. ..We were... Wow what a great place for dinner. I ordered the Coq au vin with a few changes. Roasted corn to replace the asparagus and fingerling potatoes to replace... I love this place! It's a little on the pricey side, so I've only been twice, but I look forward to going back once in a while to try some more of their... Mamma Luisa's was amazing. Hands down the best gnocchi I've ever had, like to the point that I'm missing it as I write this. The rest of the food was... First time to Newport and was a recommendation from the front desk. Stopped here on the way home after a disappointing \"Mexican food\" meal last night. The chips and salsa we're delicious, chips were warm and salsa flavorful.... DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY THE COVER!..Inside the place is so cozy and the wait staff moves with lightning speeds. ..The food is from another planet!!! ..I got eggs,... Let me tell you. If you haven't already, you need to try this place. It's MY personal favorite little mom and pop place ever. I've recent relocated to DC... Start by enjoying a wonderful salad with more olives, peppers, tomatoes and croutons than any other restaurant I have been in, great house dressing, and hot... First impression after 1 visit- fantastic little sandwich shop. Definitely easy to drive by, but you won't do it again. Each sandwich is made to order by... Great, home town cooking.
