Definitely sounds related to the exhaust system. Could be a loose heat shield, exhaust touching metal somewhere or a broken baffle inside the muffler. Thanks for your responses.I am not a mechanic, how can I tell if the fluid is aerated? Is there an easy way to flush the transmission fluid through a drain plug? How about sucking out fluid with a plastic pipe?I did some testing and found the following: The noise only happens when the car is in gear, moving slowly or fully stopped with steering rotated and held in rotated position.
