Get Calibre from http://calibre-ebook.com/ . It's free and can handle quite a lot of ebook format conversions, e.g., it usually does a quite decent conversion from HTML to epub. I've tested it on the HTML version of CLL1 and encountered there only one major conversion related problem, i.e., the long interlinear examples, which cannot be automatically folded and are impossible to read in the unfolded form at least on my Sony reader. Finding a usable format for the index may be another problem. For manual editing of epubs, there is Sigil, available at http://code.google.com/p/sigil/ . Kindle cannot handle epub, but Calibre will also convert to Mobi format, which ought to be OK. Kindle also handles HTML. More info about devices, formats and programs can be found at http://www.mobileread.com/forums/ .
