Sack of St. Augustine: Reenactmen= t of Captain Robert Searles Raid of 1668

On March 3, relive history as the Historic Florida Militia reenacts Ca= ptain Robert Searle's 1668 attack on St. Augustine. Searle and his privatee= rs sailed from Jamaica to loot the silver ingots held in the royal coffers = at St. Augustine. Visit the encampment set up at the Fountain of Youth Arch= aeological Park in the afternoon. Then in the evening, participate in the s= ack of the city when reenactors will attack the city's Spanish soldiers and= colonial citizens. Townspeople and soldiers will flee from the Plaza de la= Constitucion and along St. George Street to the city's historic gates.

THE PLAYERS Championship

From May 7–13, the game's greatest players compete at THE PLAYER= S Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. PGA TOUR members rec= ognize THE PLAYERS Championship as "their" championship tournament. It feat= ures one of the most coveted titles in professional golf, the strongest fie= ld of competitors and the richest purse. Previous winners of THE PLAYERS Ch= ampionship include K.J. Choi in 2011, Tim Clark in 2010, Henrik Stenson in = 2009, Sergio Garcia in 2008 and Phil Mickelson in 2007. Practice rounds are= Monday through Wednesday, and THE PLAYERS Championship competition rounds = are Thursday through Sunday.
