Police are searching for a man who shot two college students inside their apartment near Michigan State University.According to a news release Saturday morning from the East Lansing Police Department, one of the students was listed in critical condition at a hospital. The other was treated and released.University police tweeted that students were alerted by text message about the shooting. The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. at the Cedar Village apartment complex, less than a mile from the Michigan State campus.East Lansing police say the suspect being sought was believed to be in his 20s and that the shooting "does not appear to be a random act."Dispatchers with the city and campus police departments said early Saturday there was no further information to release. The 2014 Bentley Flying Spur is many things. Its luxurious, of course. Virtually every inch of its interior is draped in fine leathers, exotic woods or carpet with a pile so deep you may lose a shoe in it. If plastic is the future, this cars style is firmly rooted in the past. Its also powerful, with a 616 hp 12-cylinder engine that makes it the most potent Bentley sedan ever built.Thats in terms of horsepower. Its big sister, the 505 hp Bentley Mulsanne, trumps it on torque, with something like a jazillion pound-feet compared to the Flying Spurs healthy 590 lb-ft, but were not talking tow trucks here, and horsepower equals speed. On that front, the Flying Spur lives up to its name, sprinting from 0 to 100 mph in 9.5 seconds on its way to an unrestricted maximum velocity of 200 mph, fastest of any sedan in the world today.Or snowmobile. Its all-wheel-drive system and adjustable air-suspension make it one of the most capable cold weather cars, and likely the classiest way to take five people on a quick run up the Dalton Highway. No, thats not the primary reason customers will spend $205,825 to buy one, but its nice to know you can check out the oil investments firsthand when necessary. I managed to get a taste of what that might be like, courtesy of one of the polar vortices Canada keeps sending us this year. After gliding over the potholed streets of Manhattan as if they were billiard tables, I pointed the Flying Spurs chromed mesh grille ------=Part.961.1935.1393678809 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii

We believe it benefits the U.S. military to provide this flyover."A 24-hour FBI command center will monitor the latest counterterrorism intelligence, said Aaron Ford, head of the FBI's Newark office. Ford told WPIX-TV the effort is "an unprecedented collaboration" between 35 agencies.Measures have been taken to protect power grids and to make sure there's plenty of backup energy in case of another blackout like the one last year at the game in New Orleans, said Jeffrey Miller, the NFL's head of security. In Manhattan, the NYPD is drawing on its experience securing the annual New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square, the New York City Marathon, the U.N. General Assembly and other high-profile events to secure "Super Bowl Boulevard," a 13-block street fair on Broadway. The department has deployed hundreds of extra uniformed and plainclothes police officers to the area. It's also relying on bomb-sniffing dogs, portable radiation detectors and a vast network of surveillance cameras to detect trouble. On Friday, the FBI said it was investigating a suspicious powder mailed to several locations in New York and New Jersey, including at least five hotels near the site of Sunday's game. The agency said further testing was being conducted on the substance, but it is "within normal values" and appeared not to be dangerous.White powder also was found in a letter sent to former New York City Mayor Rudolph G ittle we have to use later in the year, or even in future years."State Department of Water Resources Director Mark Cowin said there simply is not enough water in the system to meet the needs of farmers, cities and the conservation efforts that are intended to save dwindling populations of salmon and other fish throughout Northern California. For perspective, California would have to experience heavy rain and snowfall every other day from now until May to get the state back to its average annual precipitation totals, according to the Department of Water Resources."These actions will protect us all in the long run," Cowin said during a news conference that included numerous state and federal officials, including those from wildlife and agricultural agencies.Friday's announcement came after Gov. Jerry Brown's official drought declaration in mid-January, a decision that cleared the way for state and federal agencies to coordinate efforts to preserve water and send it where it is needed most. The governor urged Californians to reduce their water use by 20 percent. It also reflects the severity of the dry conditions in the nation's most populous state. Officials say 2013 was the state's driest calendar year since records started being kept, and this year is heading in the same direction.A snow survey on Thursday in the Sierra Nevada, one of the state's key water sources, found the water content in the meager snowpack is just 12 percent of nor
