The peak time for severe weather in the Houston Metro Area is between 10am-2pm. Our biggest severe weather threat will likely be damaging winds. Wind gusts greater than 45mph will be likely. A funnel cloud or tornado isn't out of the question. A cold front will cross the area this afternoon. After the storms end, strong northwest winds will kick in and bring in a much cooler air mass with low humidity. Temps will fall into the 50s Tuesday through Thursday morning. Some areas north and west of Houston could hit the upper 40s Wednesday morning.
