City Travel Review attracts applicants each year to work within our study/working gap real world type placement projects. Project members are = usually college undergraduates, post graduates, working young people takin= g a short sabbatical, or those taking time off or a gap year before or after college/University. Project members come from all different backgrounds, w= ith the following purpose to gain valuable diverse working experience, learn a= language from scratch or improve on foreign language skills already acquir= ed.
 
Many project members wish to gain a new real world working experience= possibly changing career direction in order to move into creative/history/geography/arts/culture/language/tourism/media/communicati= on/PR/journalism/language/editorial/research/travel writing/reviewing,design, photography/fashion industries.
 
Project members are selected and usually placed in peer groups that h= ave members of the team with complementary skills.
 
Project members attend German language classes on a regular basis usu= ally during the mornings and during the afternoons project members gain and dev= elop hands-on experience working as Travel Researchers/Review Journalists. Proj= ect members are thoroughly involved within the creative team, creating a professional tourist guide aimed at young people and students visiting the= capitals. Information gained in language learning is incorporated within t= he guide. Project members design the whole guide from start to finish from la= yout, photos, graphics/design, interviewing, researching, reporting, proofreadin= g, writing reviews/features for restaurants, bars, cafes, attractions/entertainment, city history, art and culture etc. Project memb= ers attend workshops and are aided by an experienced journalist & professi= onal working team. During most afternoons they are out and about on project rel= ated visits within the city and surrounding areas. Typical project visits inclu= de visiting museums, walking tours, visiting local areas, tourist attractions,historical sites and the highlights of this amazing city.
 
We select outgoing individuals who are able to demonstrate commitment= , initiative, teamwork, good organisation and the ability to communicate effectively. We like to hear from those who love learning, want to learn a= new language and like to work within a fun real world working team atmosphere = in a foreign city in Europe.
