Hello Lojbanists,

I hope this message will reach you well.

I am contacting you as I have been interested in Lojban for several weeks,
thinking about it as a solution to develop controlling of computer by
speech and I am looking for getting a better idea on the issues that I
could meet in developing such application.

I have been disappointed by current speech recognition system and I am
doubting whether it could ever become really efficient. I am especially
thinking about playing video games or using speech recognition for
multitasking, few examples would be to be able to control my computer as
follow:

   - Without showing me, open word, write blablabla... save on the desktop,
   quit word
   - When I say "go", do this, this and this.

I understood that Lojban's design has been optimized for being well
understandable by a machine and I would like to have a better idea on how
much it could suit for this application.

In addition, I would imagine that with the world of gamers becoming larger
and larger on the internet, the application of lojban in gaming would be a
good way to help the language to become more popular.
At the beginning, full pre-made sentences could be available, allowing
users to use it without needing to deeply learn the language, but it may
also help to not require to develop a too much performant parsing tool at a
first step.

I am not an informatics guy unfortunately, but I hope this topic can catch
your attention, please if possible could you provide me some contacts of
people from your community most adapted to discuss about it ?
